Strong Women Frontal Wedgies What Are Some Books About Strong, Intelligent Women?

What are some books about strong, intelligent women? - strong women frontal wedgies

I read books about strong women who are intelligent, and the story is not materialistic (eg, Confessions of Shopaholic, The Devil Wears Prada, etc.) I think something along the lines of Jane Austen.

Suggestions?

Do not say, Twilight ... I read and Uber-LAME!

I agree with everything by Tamora Pierce

Also anything by Robin McKinley, Patricia C. Wrede, and Patricia McKillip.

If you read a book, definitely check out Sorcery and Cecilia by Patricia C. Wrede, Caroline Steverman. It's very Jane Austen - as.

Read all of Jane Austen. Obviously there is Pride and Prejudice, and you do not get a much stronger character than Elizabeth Bennet. Jane was a woman who had really united, and had the strength to live according to their beliefs and to remain single rather than marry for money and stability, the real power of the reality of his stories added. It is really amazing, and everything you can get your hands on "Get Yours, read it!

Jane Eyre has a strong sense of independence in relation to heroin, and this, Gone With the Wind. GWTW is a heart stopper for me. I also recommend, Virginia Woolf, Simone de Beauvoir, Dorothy Parker and Katherine Mansfield as authors. This list is a great woman, but in my experience, women, women write better than men at any time.

If you have something more modern, try The Joy Luck Club. Good luck:)

Gone with the Wind is one of the most popular heroines from history - the beautiful, manipulative, unknowingly Scarlett O Hara.

I was surprised to see how much I liked No Name by Wilkie Collins, which is later than Austen, but always takes care of a young woman who takes her future in person at a time when it was just not ready!

The Eustace Diamonds by Anthony Trollope's great when you wrote Jane Austen Love - Well, surprisingly funny and Lizzie Eustace is so horrible that you can not stop loving him!

haha, you can read my book when I finish it. It is difficult (if not reported socially) to draw the women in a difficult life.
But I can promise you that you are not a Jane Austin.
* Sigh * If only.
I totally agree with the proposal by Tamora Pierce. She does not write epic heroine.

All of Tamora Pierce! She writes awesome female characters. We recommend you with the song of the Lioness quartet. :)

Although I do not remember a specific title, Robin Cook has a very strong women protagonists.

The louder and louder, I know, is a female protagonist Dagny Taggart in Ayn Rand Atlas shrugged.
